Michael K. Harper, age 65, of Manchester Twp. passed away Thursday, April 14 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Camden, NJ, he was a resident of New Egypt before moving to Manchester Twp. two years ago.
Mike was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, especially fishing on the beach. He also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the NRA, Bassmasters, and the Beach Buggy Association.
Mike was predeceased by his father, Andrew D. Harper. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 22 years, Ruth Ann Harper. Mike is also survived by his four sons, Michael Harper of New Egypt, Matthew Harper of Browns Mills, Joshua Moschera and wife Rachel of Pemberton, and Kyle Moschera of Baltimore, MD; three daughters, Michelle Wishart and husband Luke of Pemberton, Crystal Wright and husband Kyle of Hamilton, and Mandy Kelly and husband Jarett of New Egypt; his mother, Dolores Harper of Jackson; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Ronnie Tilghman of New Egypt; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Sandra Harper of Chesterfield, Tim and Lynne Harper of Southampton, T.C. and Kelly Harper of Cream Ridge, Larry and Tammy Harper of Chesterfield and Andy and Lisa Harper of New Egypt; nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his loyal lab, Gator.
A friend to many, he will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Funeral services for Mike will be held on Monday, April 18 at 8:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Monday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
