Francis L. “Frank” Dauphars, Jr., age 86, of Jacobstown passed away Tuesday, December 9 at home. Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Jacobstown since 1963. Frank served in the Navy from 1945 to 1947 and retired as a Lieutenant with the New Jersey State Police in 1983 after 28 years of service. He was a member of the NJ Former Troopers Association and a member of the South Branch Sportsman’s Club in Woodland Twp. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR and going to the local speedways. He liked to travel but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Margaret B. Dauphars; a son, Michael J. Dauphars; a brother, John Dauphars and a sister, Jean Novembre. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Jill Dauphars of Mogadore, OH and James and Karen Dauphars of Yardville; a daughter, Joanne Dauphars of Jacobstown; his companion, Jackie Lenceski of New Egypt; three grandchildren, Danielle and Jack Dauphars of Mogadore, OH and Meredith Dauphars of Yardville; three sisters, Marie Fisher of Pennsylvania, Ruth Bonafiglio and husband Fred of Florida and Diane Dauphars of Florida, a sister-in-law, Pauline Dauphars of Ewing; a brother-in-law, Joe Novembre of Hamilton Twp. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Frank will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown. Calling hours will be on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
