Marian F. Liedtka, age 85, of New Egypt died Wednesday, May 2 at Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills. Born in Cream Ridge, she was a lifetime area resident. Marian was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #455 Ladies Auxiliary in New Egypt and was a member of the New Egypt Historical Society. Daughter of the late John & Carrie (VanArsdale) Stevens and wife of the late Carl T. Liedtka, Jr., she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn & Franklin Purcell of New Egypt, Marian & Eddie Phillips of New Egypt and Helen & Frank Sexton of Sykesville; a brother, George Stevens of Hamilton Square; four grandchildren, Cynthia McCarrol, Shaunna O?Brien, Chad Phillips and Mike Purcell; seven great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4 at 11:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Interment will follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours are from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Marian?s name may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, P. O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015-0820.
