Stella Josephine Szajna-Kozabo Stella Kozabo, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 30 in North Port, FL. Born on October 18, 1921 in Philadelphia, she had lived in North Port since 1996 and previously lived in New Egypt and Trenton. Stella was retired from Waterbury Industries in Hightstown and while in Florida had work at Winn Dixie and was a volunteer at Quality Heath Care. She had been a member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt and the San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. Wife of the late John Kozabo, mother of the late Stanley Kozabo and sister of the late Sophie Benedetto and Stanley & Edward Shyner, Stella is survived by her children, John Kozabo, Jr. of East Windsor, Joseph Kozabo and Rose Ward both of Hightstown, Maryann Glen of Thousand Oaks, CA, William Kozabo of Richmond, VA and Edward Kozabo of North Port, FL; two sisters, Steffie Newell of New Egypt and Jean Inglese of North Port, FL; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at 8:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Father Joseph Farrell, officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 at the funeral home. Graveside interment services will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Stella?s name to The American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
