Sarah F. Dickerson, age 88, of New Egypt died Tuesday, September 18 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in New Egypt, she was a lifetime area resident. Sarah was a retired waitress for many area diners, including the Crossroads Diner, Vincentown Diner, The Yankee Clipper and the Bordentown Bar & Grill. Daughter of the late Warren & Elizabeth Ruth ?Lizzie? (Emery) Grant (Sr.); sister of the late Warren Grant, Jr. and Blanch (Grant) Gray and mother of the late Elizabeth Ruth (Tilghman) Leedy; she is survived by her husband, Milton O. ?Jake? Dickerson; a daughter, Nancy Marion (Tilghman) Lindroth and husband R. David of Augusta, GA; a son-in-law, H.S. ?Duke? Leedy of Presidential Lakes; a sister-in-law, Olive Beck Grant of Cream Ridge; three grandchildren, Robin D. Leedy of Greentown, PA, Sheila A. Akers of Hendersonville, NC and Harold S. Leedy III of Manchester, TN; five great grandchildren, Keith Carney, Constance Laws, Adam Laws, Melanie Ann Akers and Sarah Elizabeth Leedy and two great great grandchildren, Cassidy Marie Laws and Nathan Green Laws. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Interment will follow in the BGWCD Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
