Ronald L. ?Ron? Bowden, age 64, of Cookstown died suddenly Wednesday, February 16 at his home. Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Cookstown for the past 30 years and previously of New Egypt. Ron was a 1964 graduate of Trenton High School and was also a graduate of Mercer County College. He was currently employed as a manager for JB Management in Eatontown. Ron was a member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt and was also a Eucharistic Minister in the church. He enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music, but he spent most of his time taking care of his family which he has done from an early age. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Marcella (Barber) Bowden. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lynne V. (nee Cooper) Bowden; two daughters, Kellie Ann Bowden of Bordentown and Amy Lynne Duke of Jacksonville, FL; a granddaughter, Marlee V. Bowden of Bordentown and a brother and sister-in-law, Walter L. and Cathy Bowden of Newburgh, NY. Funeral services for Ron will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Father Anthony Carotenuto, officiating. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery in New Egypt. Calling hours will be on Tuesday evening, February 22 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
