Dorothy H. Szpila, age 91, of New Egypt died Friday, August 20 at Whiting Healthcare in Whiting, NJ. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Bayonne before moving to New Egypt 9 years ago. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Szpila and a daughter, Jacqueline Kuryla. She is survived by a son Howard Stubaus and wife Rhoda of Florida; a daughter, Vivian Curtis and husband Raymond of New Egypt; a brother, Christopher Kreutter and wife Pat of Bayonne; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, August 23 at 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with calling hours on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Dorothy?s memory may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
