Obituary of Patrick G. McCaffery

Patrick G. McCaffery, age 89, of New Egypt died Friday, July 16 at Neptune Rehab & Care Center in Neptune. Born in New York City, he was a resident of New Egypt since 1958. Pat was a retired Major with the US Army, serving from 1941 to 1961 and receiving a Bronze Star. He also was an Insurance Agent for State Farm for 40 years. Pat was predeceased by he wife Ruth M. (Keefe) McCaffery in 2004. He is survived by three sons, Patrick J. McCaffery of Mountain Rest, SC, and Gregory McCaffery and David McCaffery both of New Egypt and a grandson, Cory McCaffery of Indiana. Calling hours for Pat will be held on Saturday, July 24 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial with full military honors will be at 9:00 AM on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
