John J. Namowicz, Jr. CMSGT USAF Retired, age 87, of Wrightstown died Tuesday, June 15 at home. Born in Glen Lyon, PA, he was a resident of Wrightstown since 1952. John retired from the US Air Force in 1974 after serving 31 years. He was a member of VFW Post 6590 in Cookstown, the Knights of Columbus Council 1179 in Mt. Holly and the D.A.V. Husband of the late Sadie E. Namowicz, John is survived by a son, Thomas Namowicz, Senior Chief USN Retired and wife Pamela of Arlington, WA and two grandchildren, Cory and Kyle Namowicz. Funeral services and burial with military honors at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John?s name may be made to the VFW Leonard Sexton Memorial Post 6590, 22 Veterans Way, Cookstown, NJ 08511.
