George W. Tilghman, age 73, of Pemberton Twp. died Tuesday, May 25 at Buttonwood Hospital in New Lisbon. Born in Jobstown, he was a lifetime area resident. George had been employed in the maintenance department of Shop Rite in Mount Holly. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles A. and Mary Tilghman and his siblings, Ann Collins, Robert Tilghman, Mary Tait and Richard Tilghman. George is survived by a sister, Jean Myers of Shamong and a brother, Jim Tilghman of Bordentown and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 28 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
