William H. Roscoe, Sr., age 88, of Cookstown died Thursday, January 14 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Cleveland, he was a lifetime area resident. Bill was a US Army veteran during World War II and was a retired heating mechanic at McGuire AFB. He was a member of VFW Post 6590 in Cookstown, the New Hanover Twp. Senior Citizens and was a former New Hanover Township Committeeman. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Agnes V. Roscoe, a son, Joseph ?Terry? Roscoe and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Roscoe. He is survived by a son, William Roscoe, Jr. of Cookstown; a daughter-in-law, Karen Roscoe of Cookstown; a brother, Clyde Castle of Mount Holly; four grandchildren and spouses, Joseph Roscoe of Houston, TX, Tracy & William Graessle of Sykesville, Kimberly & Cutter Kratzer of Cookstown and Melissa Roscoe & Tom Larson of North Hanover and seven great grandchildren, Joshua Garey, Becky, Billy, Matt & Nicholas Graessle and Sarah & Emma Kratzer. Funeral services for Bill will be held on Monday, January 18 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with Rev. Norman Eckley officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Sunday evening, January 17 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
