Dorothy M. Popp, age 74, of Whiting died Saturday, November 14 at her daughter?s residence in Browns Mills surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hudson, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Browns Mills before moving to Whiting 10 years ago. Dorothy was a cook for the Pemberton Township Schools for 23 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Michael Popp in July of 2009 and a sister, Mabel Pugsley. She was the loving mother and best friend of daughter, Misty Kilgore and husband Brian of Browns Mills and daughter, Debra Otting and husband Gene of Tennessee and she was a beloved and devoted grandmother and great grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday evening, November 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy?s memory may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053-3101.
