Donnie C. Wine of Wrightstown passed away Tuesday June 23, 2009 at the Samaritan Hospice Unit in Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly. He was 72. Donnie was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and had been a longtime resident of Wrightstown. He retired from the US Air Force after serving his country for forty one years. Donnie was a member of the Wrightstown planning and zoning board for five years and also involved with the election board for nine years. He was a dedicated and lifetime member of the Cookstown VFW #6590. Donnie was the Department Commander of the State of NJ in 2004 & 2005 and he was the District Commander of District #11. He is survived by his wife of twenty four years Dianne Wine (nee-Hopple); a son Michael & Annette Wine; two daughters Betty Kincaid and Kara & Robert Ritter Sr.; his mother Clara Wine; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Donnie is also survived by a brother Mac Wine; a sister Jackie Connors; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 29th at 11am at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt (tilghmanfh.com). There will also be a VFW service Sunday evening at 8:45PM. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Sunday evening June 28th from 7-9PM and Monday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle?s Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.
