Rev. Barry L. Casaday, age 72, of Allentown, died Sunday, August 10 at his residence. Born in Bellwood, PA, he was a resident here since 1966. Barry was currently the Minister at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Rutherford. He was also the former pastor and founder of the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church in Jacobstown. Barry was also retired from the Quality Control Department at RCA Astro in Hightstown and served in the Army from 1957-1959. Husband of the late Jacqueline A. Casaday, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Nancy Casaday of Cream Ridge; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine & Richard Soltis of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Kelly & Megan Soltis and Patrick Casaday; a brother, Richard Casaday of Bellwood, PA and a sister, Nancy Varner of Roaring Spring, PA. A memorial for Rev. Casaday will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 11:00 AM at the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church, 42 Chesterfield-Jacobstown Road in Jacobstown, with Pastor Robert Russell, officiating.
