So so much to say about my friend John. We met when I was 14 years old at the Econolodge where I was hired as a lifeguard. After a while, John asked if I wanted to go to a DIRT race at Bridgeport Speedway. I was hooked on racing after that. John and I spent years going to dirt tracks all over NY, NJ, some PA, some DE, and then my brother Scott and Dad and Mom joined the posse for dirt and Nascar races. John and I have enjoyed a great friendship with nothing but laughs and memories made. Never an argument or disagreement. Though we spoke every week via phone, the last time I saw John, I reminded him that he was my longest-known friend at 41 years. I stayed at John's house for a few days last year when I came to NJ for my Nan's memorial. When I left for NC, I gave him a hug goodbye. I am so glad I did that. He knew how special he was to me. I will miss my friend tremendously but will always smile when I think of him.

I have taught at Emmons three different times. John of course, was the cornerstone of the building. He was Mr. sunshine committee himself. He always made everyone feel welcome.
When he needed a hand with the computer, he would come to me, especially once we lost our tech coordinator.
I always loved his cars, especially because I had his car is twin. Mine was a 1986 black Pontiac Trans Am. The one I admired the most was the older one. He only brought it to school a few times when I was there. But that’s the body style that I always wanted.
Unplanned, we ran Into each other at Prospectors during a concert. After that, he always asked me before each concert if I was going.
I tried to hold up his legacy as the sunshine committee person, but by that time my dad was sick, then passed away, and then I got hurt.
John will be greatly missed by all. My one regret is not coming to one of the Emmons gathering of the retirees. But since I have been out of work because I was hurt, it’s been very difficult.

Mr. B was a wonderful friend and an amazing teacher! We taught Kindergarten together for years! He was so helpful and always so prepared! He had all of his copies made a year in advance and I was always in awe of how organized he was! He played such a huge role at Emmons! He organized every luncheon, celebration, and retirement party! There will never be a Super Bowl where I don’t think of his handmade football field and awesome idea of a “soup-er” bowl lunch! I truly loved talking to him each morning before the students arrived! I will miss him greatly ❤️

Sending my thoughts and prayers to Jill and her Husband. John spoke of you many times wish we could meet under different circumstances.
John and I shared our interests in Racing, Movies, Country concerts and restaurants.
He was my partner in crime and I will miss him greatly. Many times driving back from Kutztown Speedway or Delaware, I was in charge in keeping him awake with crackers, soda and conversation.
We had some good laughs when we would go to the Country Concerts comparing notes on the way home. And the time coming home from Kutztown during a storm when neither of us could see the edge of the road in your new Camaro. Scary, Scary, Scary
RIP in John till we meet again at the Big Racetrack in Heaven!

First of all may I offer my sincere Condolences to John's Family, Friends, fellow Teachers, Coworkers and Students.
John, we had many many fun times and Memories as we travelled throughout the Northeast following the Racing Adventures of Billy Pauch (except Sprint Cars lol). You will be remembered for having Two Racing Heroes BILLY and RUSTY. Long before the technology of today, we would make calls to all our Circle of Friends to see what the upcoming weekend plans looked like.
Will remember calling you at work and hearing "Bordentown Econolodge"... Our weekends would begin at the picnic bench at East Windsor, being the last ones in the Pits at Flemington congratulating Billy on another Victory and the Sunday night rides home from Penn National. Great times for sure and Memories that will never fade from all of us Lucky to have you as a Member of Our Racing Family. Now You have been called to the Racetracks in the Skies joining many of Our Loved Ones who have gone before. Now you are in charge of Saving the rest of us Seats near the Top Row of Heaven's Dirt Track. Until We we meet again, enjoy the action from Above and keep an eye on us.
Rest in Peace. Godspeed John
Sincerely
Walter Starzec Jr

John was the first teacher I met at Emmons School when I began my first year of my teaching career. He was so friendly and inviting and helped me so much to acclimate to the school and the profession. Over the years we became good friends and he even introduced my sons to racing. Our family went to several races with him and my boys always thought that Mr. B was super cool. Both of my kids are still into racing to this day and my older son follows racing on TV and in-person regularly as a result of that positive influence. John was always friendly and cared about the staff as well as the students in Pemberton. His outgoing personality helped as he led the Emmons Sunshine Committee and ensured that all holidays and important events were celebrated and shared with good food and good people. Our family will truly miss John B and we extend our condolences to all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
