Edward S. Broda, age 86, longtime resident of New Egypt, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at home with his daughters by his side.  He was born in Trenton to the late Stephen and Margaret Broda.  Ed enjoyed reading, collecting coins and baseball cards, and tinkering with model trains. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962, during the Korean War. Ed worked at Metlife Insurance for 30 years. He was a parishioner at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish located in Wrightstown, NJ.  Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed.  Ed is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years Alice (Schwing) Broda; his parents, Stephen and Margaret (Donlon) Broda; and his brother Stephen W. Broda.  He is survived by his daughters, Beverly D’Onofrio and husband Michael of Chatham, NJ, Nancy McCarthy and husband Michael of Hainesport, NJ, and daughter-in-law Mary (Kenny) Broda of California; his grandchildren Jessica and Shaun Broda; Brian, Joseph and Nick D’Onofrio and Jeremy and Ryan McCarthy; his sister, Catherine Wu of Morrisville, PA, his sister-in-law, Joyce Schwing, his brothers-in-laws, Jim (Mary) Schwing and Don (Lois) Schwing and numerous nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, Sept 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM for a Memorial Mass at Church of the Assumption (St. Isidore Parish) located at 28 Monmouth Road, Wrightstown NJ 08562 with burial to follow at Brigadier General William C.
