In loving memory of Mr. Turner Mr. Turner was as strong and formidable as the horses he cared for. He would toss bales of straw like they were bean bags. I once saw him stop a charging Clydesdale during the Sire Stakes at Dancers Farm. Mr. Turner was joyful and fun loving with an infectious smile. His smile went from ear to ear with roaring laughter. I remember when, he would call to me from the stands at the ball games and stick out his fissured tongue to distract me on the pitchers mound. It worked every time. Mr. Turner showed me passionate, honest , hard work while we built a horse race track at Winners International Farm on summer break from college. He also showed me patience when I blew up the water truck. I learned more that summer than all my days in college. Mr. Turner, you were a great, positive role model to me and I am eternally grateful.
