Betty J. Green, age 87, of Cookstown died Tuesday, April 8 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. Born in Lebanon, PA, she was a longtime resident of Cookstown. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Cookstown United Methodist Church. Wife of the late Frank Green and mother of the late Larry, Timothy and Barbara Green, she is survived by two daughters, Gloria Magoon of Vermont and Faye Green of Cookstown; two sisters, Alice McKeone of Mount Gretna, PA and Gloria Leedom of State College, PA, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. Norman Eckley, officiating. Interment will be in the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will on Sunday evening, April 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Betty?s name may be made to the Cookstown United Methodist Church, 16 Main Street, Cookstown, NJ 08511.
