My heart and prayers are with you James Scott, Kelly, Joshua, Christopher, Ryan, Andrew, Patti, Gail, Evelyn and the Conover family. To think of Jim is to smile as he always had a smile, a twinkle in his eye and an encouraging word. With a heart wide open he always gave a cup of kindness and loved people without conditions. When talking with Jim his greatest joy was his four wonderful sons and his grandson Joshua. His family was everything to him and he treasured them. Jim knew what mattered in life and valued those in his life. When I think of him I think of someone who always went the extra mile to help someone in need. The simple things mattered to him and time with his sons and family. When I would talk with Jim he would share his great love for James Scott, Christopher, Ryan and Andrew and would beam as he spoke of each son. When Joshua was born he embraced being a grandfather with all his heart and loved him so. When you entered Jim's life U were forever a part of his life no matter the time or distance. Love is the greatest force in heaven and earth. The Love he shared with his sons, grandson, Patti, Kelly, Gail, Evelyn, family and friends is forever with you. The love you all shared is eternal and never ends. The circle of your family is unbroken through faith in Jesus and i pray his loving presence brings you comfort and peace.

Jim was one of the kindest, dear, loving people I will ever know. Jim takes a piece of my heart with him. Being in Jim's life for 40 years was such a blessing in my life. I was blessed to share three wonderful sons, now men, with Jim. He was a wonderful father and loved being a father. His "boys" were his life. His sons are so blessed to have had Jim as their father. He was kind to all he knew and if Jim was your friend, you had a friend for life. He was loyal, funny, sympathetic, and could he keep a confidence. He enjoyed a good meal. He loved his grandmother's cheesecake, my carrot cake, apple pie, and cottage cheese with strawberry jam on top. He was a coffee drinker and enjoyed it fresh ground especially the southern pecan flavor. Jim was an avid sports fan. A die hard New England Patriots fan from the time they were an expansion team, he liked the New York Islanders as well. Jim knew something about every and any sport. From golf to hockey he knew sports. He enjoyed watching a good tv show as well. If you were going through a rough time or a crisis, Jim was your rock. An accomplished musician and vocalist, Jim, his dear father John and brother Gary would sing while Jim played the piano. It would bring tears to your eyes to hear the three Conover men vocalize and play together. My life has been enriched on so many levels by being allowed to be in Jm's life. I will miss him forever and he will always have a piece of my heart. Thank you Jim for our sons, the laughter & joy, and the kindness. God took you from us all too soon. Be at peace and without pain.
