Eleanor C. Lasky (nee Karczewski), age 74, longtime New Egypt resident, formerly of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at home. She was born on July 10, 1947, in Trenton, NJ, to the late Stanley and Lois (nee Schulz) Karczewski. Eleanor was a member of Church of the Assumption, and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 455 in New Egypt. She was a former member of the Rosary Altar Society and the church choir. Eleanor enjoyed playing Pogo and doing cryptograms. She loved hummingbirds, but most importantly she loved her family and especially her granddaughter. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed. Eleanor is predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Lois Karczewski; three sisters, Catherine Vaneekhoven, Patricia Cudney, and Anna Ziegler. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert M. Lasky Sr. of New Egypt; her two sons, Robert M. Lasky Jr. and wife Deborah of New Egypt, and Paul Lasky and wife Sonya Siso of Hamilton; her granddaughter, Madelynne Lasky; her two sisters, Sandra Hope and husband Jim of Ocala, Fl, and Marianne Benkert of Trenton; and many nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor will take place on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption-St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, 28 Monmouth Road (Route 537), Wrightstown, NJ 08562 with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Calling hours for Eleanor will be held at Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 on Monday, November 1, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a 6:00 PM wake service and 7:00 PM American Legion Service. Calling hours will be held again on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
