Florence Canto, age 95, longtime resident of Cream Ridge, formerly of Ewing, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at home. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Trenton, NJ to the late William and Hazel (nee Biddulph) Quinn. Florence was an artist. She loved to paint, and sculpt with clay. Florence was an animal lover. She loved her family but she adored her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend that will be deeply missed. Florence is predeceased by her beloved husband, John F. Canto; her parents, William and Hazel Quinn; and her brother William Quinn. She leaves behind her four children, James Canto of Thailand, Thomas Canto and wife Serafine of Florida, Carolyn Stephan and husband Robert of Cream Ridge, and Daniel Canto and wife Lynne of Cream Ridge; her grandchildren, James Canto Jr., Cara Walsh, Kyler Canto, Thomas Canto Jr., Angela Gallagher, Kelly Stephan, Robert Stephan III, Rebecca Grapetine, Michael Stephan, John Stephan, Daniel Canto Jr. Matthew Canto, and Brianne Canto; many great-grandchildren; a brother Robert Quinn and wife Kathy of Hopewell; her beloved dog, Freddie; her devoted caregivers, Sharon Huff and Joan Connaghan; and many close friends. You never lose the ones you love. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision you make. They leave an imprint on your life. Services for Florence will be private at the convienence of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt, NJ.
