Madelyn “Maddy” Tierney, raised in New Egypt and longtime resident of Wrightstown peacefully passed away Thursday afternoon, August 12, 2021 at Cooper Medical Center. Maddy was born on May 28, 1946 in Trenton, NJ, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Tierney. She is survived by a sister, Eileen Inman of New Egypt, nephew Jerry Inman and a niece Dina McLaughlin. She also leaves behind a very special friend and companion Sara Grasse. Maddy was a loving sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by many. She kept her wicked sense of humor and compassion for all until the very end. She was very well known for her love of all kinds of animals and especially stray cats. Services for Maddy will be held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt.
