Beverly Jean Johnson, age 85, of New Egypt passed away Wednesday, April 14 at Hamilton Continuing Care in Hamilton. Born in Decatur, IL to the late Joseph and Tracy Spain she was a lifetime New Egypt area resident.
Jean was a graduate of Allentown High School and worked as a nurse’s aide first at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown and then for over 25 years at Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in New Egypt. Jean enjoyed crocheting but most of all loved being with family and friends.
Jean was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stanley H. Johnson; a daughter, Susan L. Eames; two brothers, Harold and Joseph Spain and a sister, Helen Parrish. She is survived by two sons. David Johnson and wife Denise of Cream Ridge and Robert Johnson of Monroe; a son-in-law, David Eames of New Egypt; six grandchildren, Heather Borsuk and husband Jason, Keith Eames and wife Erica, Patricia Sheehan, Steven Belles and wife Samantha, Daniel Johnson and Dale Johnson; three step-grandchildren, Steven Berrios, RJ Lees and Brandon Lees and three great grandchildren, Ethan Eames and Colton Sheehan and Declan Sheehan.
Funeral services for Jean will be held on Monday, April 19 at 7:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Calling hours will be on Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Jacobstown Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
