Mary Villano, age 80, longtime resident of Wrightstown, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Acuity Lourdes Specialty Hospital in Willingboro, NJ. She was born in Wilmington, DE on February 6, 1940 to the late James and Cecile Stuart. Mary worked in Trenton, for the State of NJ Department of Family Services. She was a parishioner at the Church of the Assumption. Mary adored her dog “Mitzie”, who was her loving companion. She was a very patriotic person who wanted to support the military anyway she could. Mary founded the organization called “Jersey Angels” which sent care packages to the soldiers overseas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend that will be deeply missed.
Mary is predeceased by her parents; her son, Thomas L. Rose; and her daughter, Juanita Y. Rose Gibbons. She leaves behind her sons, James M. Rose and Joseph A. Villano Randolph; her daughter, Ramona Clark; and her grandchildren, Mary, Emily, Patrick, Julia, and Thomas, along with six others.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 AM, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Church of Assumption, located at 28 Monmouth Road (Route 537), Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Thereafter, a graveside service will be held at Milford Community Cemetery, located on North Walnut Street in Milford, DE. Social distancing and face coverings are required at the funeral home, with a maximum limit of 25 people at a time allowed inside.
