Gloria Callahan, age 78, longtime resident of Mirage/The Four Season in Barnegat, formally from Staten Island and Ozone Park, Queens, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Mystic Meadows in Little Egg Harbor. She was born in Queens, New York on January 9, 1942. Gloria was a member of St. Sylvester’s church in Brooklyn, New York. She enjoyed listening to music, loved spending time with her grandchildren, and attending family gatherings. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, soon to be great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend that will be deeply missed. Gloria is predeceased by her parents, and her beloved husband Alexander B. Callahan. She leaves behind her daughter, Cheryl Callahan of Freeport, Florida; her son, Alexander Callahan Jr. of Eatontown; her daughter, Lisa Callahan of New Hanover; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; her sisters; Rose Snyder of Caroline Shores, North Carolina, and Prudie Johnson of Montgomery, Alabama; and several Nieces and Nephews. Due to current restrictions, funeral services for Gloria are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Gloria will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
