To my Uncle Harold and my cousins, Fran, Pat, Eileen, Joann, Mary Ellen, Jeff, and Michael,
There is very little that one can say to truly ease your pain at this time. I do want you to know that I pray for each of you, and grieve with you. Aunt Peg was without any doubt an amazing, and outstanding person. She had the ability to relate, communicate and support people of all ages, and all backgrounds. She lived her life with others as her focus; she was a giver and never a taker. I have so many wonderful memories of the Bells and Mahers, and the time we shared together. She had a special way of getting people together, and making things happen. We might not have enjoyed the best of material things, but we certainly did have the best of people surrounding us. Your dad's happy smile and quiet loving ways, and your mom's faith and love doubled up with two hard working parents combined to give you top shelf award winning parents. Best of all you shared your mom with me, and I love you for that. Aunt Peg was a lady for all ages, she read, she questioned, she grew and she learned day after day, and year after year no matter what life threw at her. She lived her life with some of the strongest faith anyone could witness, and she was a model for many including myself. I hope in time you can remember and share all your good memories for you were all truly blessed with a wonderful wife and first class mom. May her love live through each of you and be the glue that keeps you together. Although we knew that she was leaving us, the jolt when it happens is just so tough. I am sure that God has already welcomed my Saint Aunt Peg. I loved her and I pray that God will bless each of you with her faith, strength and hope. Love, Irene (Maher) Hildebrandt
