Obituary of Susan G. Schoenberg

Susan G. Schoenberg, age 64, of Wrightstown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She was born in Trenton on March 21, 1955 and was an area resident growing up. She graduated from Northern Burlington County Regional High School, Class of 1973. Susan enlisted, proudly served and later retired from the United States Navy in 2002 after 20 years of active duty. She went on to serve in the Reserves for several years thereafter. The principles of the military only enhanced the person Susan was. She was beyond loyal and a person of great character. She was the type of person who was never afraid to stand up for what was right. Susan was an example of trust, dependability and stability, all of which she used in her daily life.

Susan enjoyed going to country concerts and anything Elvis. She was also an avid sports fan, always cheering for her Eagles and Phillies. Susan loved being at the beach, especially Long Beach Island where she resided for ten years as a child. If there was one thing you knew about Susan, it was how much she adored all her animals. The only thing she loved more than them was her family. She was so proud of her daughter, Devin. Susan was loving, caring, endearing, supportive, genuine and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Susan is predeceased by her father Theodore “Ted” Schoenberg. She leaves behind her daughter, Devin Schoenberg of Allentown; her mother, Ellen Schoenberg of Allentown; her dearest friend Mary Lee of Wrightstown; along with several extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 4PM to 7PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 7PM. Interment will be held privately for the family at North Crosswicks Cemetery.
