Obituary of Peter L. Bolognese

Peter L. Bolognese, age 72, of New Egypt and formerly of Brooklyn NY, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. He was born in Brooklyn NY to Luigi and Lucy Bolognese on July 11, 1947. After high school, Peter married the love of his life, Rose in 1968 and the couple had three children. Peter had a love for horses and spent many days and several hours reining them. He also worked as a truck driver and Forman for Waste Management until his retirement. Peter was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather and friend who will be sorely missed.

Peter is predeceased by his father, Luigi Bolognese and his adored wife of over 49 years Rose Bolognese.

He leaves behind his children, Jennifer Bolognese of New Egypt, Peter Bolognese and wife Jessica of Jackson and Anthony Bolognese and wife Linda of Jackson; his mother, Lucy Bolognese of Lakewood; and his five grandchildren, Gabrielle Bolognese-Arcadi, Ava Bolognese, Alexandra Bolognese, Angelina Bolognese and Bella Bolognese.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 5PM to 8PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 7:30PM. Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peter’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 (www.stjude.org).
