I served with Jimmy in Okinawa, where i was stationed, on multiple occasions. He was a great friend and was awesome to work with. He conducted himself well in the field and was a strong team member.
I remember him always talking about wanting to be a sniper even though he was not in an MOS that could allow him to go. I am a reconnaissance marine and sniper and definitely would have loved to see him go. I think he would have done well.
He know my wife and two sons as well. From the Portugal family, we are so sorry for this loss. Our prayers are with your family. I wish i could have come in person.
Very Respectfully and with deep sadness,
John Portugal

I may have only met Jimmy once, but that's all it takes to make a long lasting impression. I saw his joyful heart through his infectious smile. I saw his generous spirit through his selfless actions and I saw his loving heart through his heartfelt words!
May each treasured memory of this precious child of God serve as comfort and strength to his wonderful mother, who I am honored to call my dearest friend, and each member of his family!!
Jimmy, you will be forever honored, loved and remembered by each life you have touched!!!

Our deepest sympathies for the Casadona family. While it will be difficult to bear that Jimmy's good nature is not readily at hand, I always find it comforting to know that he is not lost, but found, and we are not saying good bye but see you later. God always picks the best to be on his team and while he'll be missed, our prayers will keep him close.
