Obituary of Peter L. Adels

Peter L. Adels, age 82, of Cookstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. He was born in Germany in 1936 and came to the United States in the mid 1950’s. In 1959, Peter enlisted in the US Air Force and worked his way up to becoming a Chief Master Sargent. During Vietnam, Peter worked as Aircraft Crew Chief. He also was a Flight Engineer and Flight Examiner, 6 M.A.S. at McGuire Air Force Base. Peter retired from the military in 1986. He was a long time member of the Cookstown VFW Post 6590 and a dear friend who will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10AM at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery for Military Honors and a service by the Cookstown VFW. All arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peter’s honor to the Cookstown VFW Post 6590, P.O. Box 265, Cookstown NJ 08511.
