Obituary of Matilda M. Van Sciver

Matilda M. Van Sciver, age 96, of Wrightstown died Monday, August 13 at home. Born in Berkley Twp., she lived in Beverly before moving to Wrightstown 12 years ago. Matilda had worked as an inspector for the B.F. Goodrich Company in Riverside. She was also a member of the Beverly Fire Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary. Wife of the late Clarence Van Sciver, Sr. and mother of the late Wilfred N. Leaf and Clarence Van Sciver, Jr.; she is survived by two daughters, Ethel Meredith and Marion Gallagher and husband Owen, all of Springfield Twp.; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Interment will follow in Monument Cemetery in Beverly. Calling hours will be on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
