Obituary of Sarah Marie Lewis

Sarah Marie Lewis (Britton), age 85, of New Egypt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills. She was born in New Hanover Twp., Burlington County, NJ to the late Joseph and Nellie Britton on November 28, 1931. Sarah married the love of her life Joseph in 1955 and they had six children. She stayed home to raise her children and cared for her family deeply. Sarah enjoyed walking, puzzle books and watching tv, but mostly loved being with her family. She was an adored wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed.

Sarah is predeceased by her parents; her husband Joseph Lewis; three sons, Wayne, Robert and Patrick Lewis; daughter Sarah Lewis; brother Joseph Britton; and three sisters, Dorris Anderson, Patricia Anderson and Shirley Brandt.

She leaves behind her son Joseph Lewis and his wife Charlotte of New Egypt; her daughter Linda Lewis of Browns Mills; her sister Josephine Mick; grandchildren, Billy Lewis and Kristina, Chrissy Tomalina’s and Eric, Lisa Lewis and Adrian Mora, Patrick Lewis Jr., Bobby Jo Lewis, Sarah Lewis, Patricia Lewis, Amanda Lewis, Robert Lewis Jr., and Adam Lewis; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Danelle, Shane, Alssya, Adrian Jr., Christian, Oceananna, Kyle, Ethan and Alan.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 10am to 12pm at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 12 Noon with interment to follow at Zion Cemetery in New Egypt.
