Obituary of Evelyn C. Harrison

Evelyn Clare Harrison (Cosulich) 92, peacefully passed away in the presence of her loving family November 2, 2016, All Souls Day, listening to Mozart with her rosary in her hand at Westgate Center for Rehabilitation and Alzheimer’s Care, Bangor, ME.
Evelyn was born May 16, 1924 in Newark, NJ to Simon and Stella (Lawlor) Cosulich. She graduated from St. Louis Academy, Staten Island, NY in 1942. Evelyn married Daniel Harrison on August 16, 1947. Evelyn was a proud homemaker, raising her 10 children she had in 11 years. She lived most of her life in the NY/NJ region. Evelyn moved to Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem PA, in 2006 and was lovingly cared for by her daughter Clare. In 2010 Evelyn's brother Bill and nephew John Cosulich brought her to her daughter Barbara in Maine. Evelyn lived at Westgate where she was cared for by a loving and devoted staff and visited almost daily by Barbara.
Evelyn's faith was a central part of her life. She was a daily communicant and prayed her rosary until dementia no longer allowed her to do so. In June 1992, Evelyn was professed in the Lay Carmelite Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Daniel, sons William, Peter and Joseph, son-in law Marc DiBella, daughters-in-law Jean and Marisa, her parents Simon and Stella (Lawlor) Cosulich, sister Marie, brothers John (Jack), William and Joseph.
Evelyn is survived by 7 children, Daniel Harrison (Ava Powell), NY, Mary Forrester (Joel), NY, John Harrison, CA, Thomas Harrison, FL, James Harrison, CA, Barbara Falls (Gary), ME and Clare DiBella, CO. 27 grandchildren: Max, Diana, John, Gabriel, Ramona, Daniel, Alexandra, Jimmy, Erin, Bridget, Peter, Anna, Matthew, Aaron, Stefan, Gerard, Mary, David, Laura, Carolyn, Anthony, Christopher, Teresa, Marc (Gus), Jessica, Sean and Clare. 12 great-grandchildren, Erin, Kyle, Isaac, Miranda, Annette (Annie), Margaux, Harrison, June, Hank, Jack, Rachel and Jacob, 2 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Cosulich and Anne Cosulich, goddaughters Rosemary Radomski and Jeanne Marie DiProperzio plus numerous nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Calling hours will be on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com).
