Dorothy A. Borden, age 97, of Cream Ridge died Thursday, September 5 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in Jacobstown, she resided there before moving to Cream Ridge 13 years ago. Dot had been employed as a school bus driver for Jack Eldridge driving for North Hanover Township Schools. She was a member of the Jacobstown Baptist Church and belonged to the Senior Citizens Groups in both North Hanover and Cookstown. Dot was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Borden in 2012; a son, Timothy Borden and by her sister, Helen Gravatt. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Linda Borden of Arneytown; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Canitz and husband Jim of Alaska; two grandsons, Joel Borden of Arneytown and David Borden and wife Kristy of Magnolia, TX and three great grandchildren, Ronald, Deegan and Austin Borden. Funeral services for Dot will be held on Monday, September 9 at 11:00 AM at the Jacobstown Baptist Church, 49 Jacobstown-Arneytown Road, Jacobstown, NJ 08562 with Rev. Ed Hlad officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
