Obituary of Raymond M. Salvadori

Raymond M. Salvadori, age 85, formerly of Browns Mills, died Sunday, July 28 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in New Haven, CT, he was a resident of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties in New Jersey since 1966. Raymond served in the US Army and was a retired personnel manager with Ecko Products in Clayton, NJ. He loved the Pine Barrens and was a member of the Outdoor Club of South Jersey in the 1970's. Raymond enjoyed tubing down the Wading River and cross country trips in his youth. He also liked musicals and enjoyed reading and traveling. He was a member of the Young Democrat Club in New Haven, CT and he was known for his renditions of “The Green Eyed Dragon” and taking children on “Lion Hunts”. Raymond was predeceased by his first wife, Claire (Carlson) Salvadori in 1997 and a granddaughter, Nancy Allison. He is survived by his wife, Emily McIntyre of Willingboro; two daughters, Robin S. Allison of Pembroke, VA and her family, David, Karen, Raphael (Ari) and Mikael (Mikah) and Christina Zack and husband Robert of Burlington; a son Theodore Salvadori of Williamstown; a sister, Lilly Rosadini of Hamden, CT and a grandson, Anthony Zack of Burlington. Funeral services for Raymond will be held on Friday, August 2 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown (please arrive at the cemetery by 10:45 AM). Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Raymond’s name may be made to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, 17 Pemberton Road, Southampton, NJ 08088 (www.pinelandsalliance.org) or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 (www.samaritanhealthcarenj.org). Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
