Adam Liedtka, age 88, of Wrightstown died Monday, November 19 at Marcella Center in Burlington. Born in Jacobstown, he was a life time New Egypt/Wrightstown area resident. Adam was a graduate of Allentown High School and served in the Army during World War II. He owned a school bus company, A. Liedtka Inc. also he operated a gas station in Wrightstown. Adam was an exempt member and past chief of the Wrightstown Vol. Fire Co. and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Egypt. Adam was predeceased by parents, Carl T. and Helen (Beck) Liedtka; his first wife, Gloria (Tallman) Liedtka; a son, Thomas Wayne Liedtka; three brothers, Carl T. Liedtka, Jr, Arthur (Ottie) Liedtka and Norman (Bill) Liedtka and a sister, Dorothy (Dottie) South. He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Caudill) Liedtka; his step-children and spouses, James W. & Sharon Hill, Jr. Burlington, Bettysue & Jim Barnes of Roebling, Donna & Phil Brecht of North Carolina, Mildred & Scott Hill, Harry & Christine Hill and Shelia Hill all of Wrightstown; a sister, Barbara L. Moschera of North Hanover Twp.; a brother, Elmer A. Liedtka, Sr. of New Egypt; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his two beloved dogs, Ruby and Sassie. Funeral services for Adam will be held on Saturday, November 24 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
