Obituary of John F. Begley

John F. Begley, age 84, of Cream Ridge died Saturday, October 27 at home. Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Cream Ridge for the past 58 years.
John served as a Seaman in the Merchant Marines from 1944-1945. He was a Millwright for Agway in Bordentown and he also was a real estate agent and co-owner of Century21 B&R Realty in New Egypt. John had taught Sunday School at the Cream Ridge Presbyterian Church and currently was a member of the Plumsted Presbyterian Church. He was a 4-H Leader in New Egypt and was a Life Member and Past Treasurer of the New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457.
John was predeceased by his siblings, Emma Begley, Mable Barber and Larry Begley. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara (nee Keens) Begley; his children, John Begley and wife Barbara of Toms River, JoAnn Search and husband William of Cream Ridge; Pat Begley of Casper, Wyoming and Diana Heaton and husband Ed of Wrightstown; a sister, Marion G. Hankins of Bordentown; his grandchildren and spouses, Brett & Tina Search, Jason Search & Matt Mayfield, John & Barbara Begley, Kerri & Jason Lenart, Kayla McGurrin, Melissa Heaton, Ed & Courtney Heaton, Jr., Scott Rochester and Amy Rochester; his great grandchildren, Bryce & Delainey Search, Khloe Rochester, Shelby Begley and Brayden Heaton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for John will be held on Friday, November 2 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in the Cream Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday evening, November 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
