Obituary of Lawrence C. Leming

Lawrence C. “Larry” Leming, age 73, of Dickson, TN died Wednesday, September 5 at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Born in Jackson, NJ, he was a resident of New Egypt from 1980-1995, then Atlanta, GA for 17 ½ years and Dickson for the past 2 months.
Larry was a self employed carpenter who quality of work was meticulous and he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Sadie (Fenton) Leming. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Wilma (nee Thomas) Leming; a son, Darrell Leming of Browns Mills, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Daphne and Rick Klebacher of Lyles, TN; his beloved dog, Dottie (Kissy Girl); four grandchildren; Craig and Dale Klebacher and Kasey and Matt Leming; a great granddaughter, Hayden Haggerty; two brothers, Robert Leming of Lyles, TN and Walter Leming of Dickson, TN; two sisters, Dorothy Earley of Brick, NJ and Libby Stowers of Richwood, WV and he is also survived by special friends, Dale and Amy Hartsfield of Acworth, GA.
Funeral services for Larry will be held on Monday, September 10 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Clarksburg Methodist Cemetery in Clarksburg, NJ. Calling hours will be on Sunday evening, September 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
