John L. Anderson, age 80 of Whiting, died Monday, June 25 at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson, N.J. Born in Browns Mills, he was a lifelong resident until moving to Whiting in 2002. John’s was last employed by Presidential Homes/Trilco. He enjoyed going to the Flea Market, hunting and he was a baseball fan. John was predeceased by, his wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Grover) Anderson; his mother and father Joseph and Nellie (Bowker) Anderson; 2 sisters, Mary Bowker and Beatrice Bowker He is survived by 3 sons and one daughter-in-law, John L. Anderson, Jr. of Cape May County, Joseph L. and Kathleen Anderson of Browns Mills and William J. Anderson of Browns Mills; 2 daughters and 2 son-in-laws, Dorothy and Patrick Murphy of Cookstown and Portia and John Statuto of Florence; 1 sister, Mildred Matthews of Pemberton; 9 grandchildren, Michele Chencharick of New Egypt, Diane Murphy of Cookstown, Dakota Anderson of Florence, Candice Anderson, Bill Anderson, Jr., Holly Anderson, Jesse James Anderson all of Browns Mills and Madison and Anthony Statuto of Florence; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Harry of New Egypt and Christian of Browns Mills and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services for John will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11am at the Browns Mills United Methodist Church, 2 Pemberton-Browns Mills Road, Browns Mills, N.J. 08015 with Pastor Dick Esher Officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10am to 11am at the church . Burial will follow in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Memorial Cemetery, Provinceline Rd. in Arneytown, N.J.
