Dorothy C. Derevlany, age 91, of Chester, VA died Monday, November 21 at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born in Anniston, Alabama she was a resident Jacobstown, Mount Holly and Crosswicks, NJ before moving to Virginia two years ago.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, William Derevlany in 1988 and by a daughter, Melissa Smith in 2008. She is survived by a son, William Derevlany, Jr. and wife Yolanda of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Valerie Connolly and husband, James of Crosswicks and Lesley Pinard and husband, Alton of Florida; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, November 28 at 9:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 27 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
