Gerald ?Joe? Stein, age 74, of Mays Landing, NJ died Tuesday, November 1 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City. Born in Ashland, PA, he lived in Burlington, NJ from 1963 to 1989 and then Dushore, PA from 1989 until moving to live with his daughter in Mays Landing four years ago. Joe served in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1959 and then the New Jersey Air National Guard working as an aircraft mechanic in both the 108th and 170th Squadron until his retirement in 1988 as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a life Member of the Loyal Sock American Legion Post in Dushore, PA and a member of the Classic Automobile Club of America. Joe was predeceased by his parents, John J. and Anna A. Stein. He is survived by two daughters, Marie Reavis of Mays Landing, NJ and Nadine Bosley and husband Tom of Thomasville, PA; a brother, Noel Stein and wife Judy of Laporte, PA; a sister, Honora McNulty of Anchorage, Alaska; a grandson, Barton Reavis; two step grandchildren, Jacob Bosley and wife Erin and Jennifer Bosley and three nephews. Funeral services for Joe will be held on Monday, November 7 at 12:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Air Force Chaplin Christopher Miller officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Calling hours will be on Monday morning from 10:30 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
